![]() Woh! Our original server never checked in on us. I will have to and compare it my favorites in Hawaii and SD. She stopped by our table to introduce herself to us and made a recommendation to try the Poke. Lastly, Estrella (Assistant GM) is very nice and pleasant. Great location but there's times that the Village is busy so be patient with parking. Lastly, a glass of wine is a bit pricey but still I'll pay for it since I NEED wine with all my dishes. ![]() The spicy tuna is deep fried (real quick) which gives it a great textureĪnd the Karage is tasteful and soft but yet crispy all at the same time. Great flavors and the bacon was thick and sweet. We also tried a dish that had different seafood in a bowl (can't remember the name and I don't see it on the menu) 3 times in a row we had Kayla and lol she remembered us. But they must pay their staff well for them to be so amazing, or they need to start to.īeen here a few times and although the first time was a blur, I enjoyed my visits with delicious food. The crowed is a crowed, and it's not a great place for a singles dinner. Same amount too.Īll in all, I'd definitely frequent this place. The sashimi were the largest cut I've had in my life! Be sure to ask for it thinly sliced. I don't know if I'd recommend it, besides for show. The yakiniku sauce should benefit from a little more mirin. But well presented, and with good sauces. The hot stone yukiniku was pretty good, though the meat wasn't great. Not great, not perfect, but their attention was perfect, and so was their service. After i asked for a sitting for one, I ended up stuffed at the corner of the bar, encroached by the bar straws and skewers. Always diligent through my whole experience. But the staff always smiled through the rush. But that was because of how popular, and thus, busy it was. There were plenty of parking space in the back of the building. I am on a keto diet, so I cannot eat the roll. If she would have repeated to us what we order, we probably would have gotten the shrimp tempura. I do not recall her repeating the order to us when she received our paper. Our server came over (without we asking), showing us our order, and said “this is what you ordered! You ordered the roll!” This is another way of her quickly telling me that “you messed up with your own order! Don’t blame me!” While my friend and I were discussing if we should let the server know about the wrong order. I marked on the paper for shrimp tempura, and our server bought out a shrimp tempura roll. ![]() The main disappointment was the shrimp tempura. Salmon poke salad: chopped salmon cubes, seaweed salad, and some sauce were put together, and that is called salmon poke salad. Stuffed mushroom is very Americanized, and overcooked. We ordered stuffed mushroom, salmon poke salad, 16 pieces of sashimi, and shrimp tempura. However, it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. I picked this place because it has good reviews. I was in the area because of work related reason, and craving for Japanese food.
